Creating Strong Family Values
Initial Seminar 101

Family values are the principles or rules that a family lives by and becomes known for.  This topic describes what values are and what they should look like in action within the family.  Values promote the setting of behavioral boundaries. Deciding on family values together, as parents, means that each parent commits to adhering to expectations.  Including the children in the process of working out how each value will be adhered to in the family, and the consequences of non-compliance, encourages each child to commit to ensuring expectations are met.  A reward system is put in place so that the positive aspects are recognized.
