It has been reported that if we were to place a video camera in a home, that, on examination, around 70% of communication would be deemed negative.  That is a shocking revelation and one that needs to be addressed as soon as it is recognized.   Having strong family values means that there is a way to identify and prevent negative communication.  To respect one another involves speaking kindly, and not gossiping.  With strong adult role modeling the atmosphere will become positive.  When parents are at odds with one another, it affects the atmosphere drastically.
