Study Habits And The School System
Teens

Children’s education should be a contract between the home, the school, and the student.  One cannot really do without the other.  The emphasis should always be on the child’s education and not petty differences amongst the adults.  Study habits are rarely taught in our public schools.  If the parent doesn’t feel competent in providing the skills, and the school feels it is the parent’s responsibility, it never gets done.  Learning these skills is essential to the student’s success.  Not having them is like a mechanic without any tools to do his work on your car.  He can do his best with the odd tool lying around the workshop, but he hasn’t brought any of his specialist tools.  Do you want him to work on your car? Similarly, a student cannot get the best education if she has not been given the necessary specialized learning and studying tools.

This topic will help you to help your child.  A set of study skill notes will be provided showing at what point your child can master the different techniques.  This will be a valuable set of resources to help you and your child.
