Within and around the American military bases worldwide are military personnel whose families are under enormous stress. Deployment carries its own set of stressors, both in the remaining family and with the troops. For families of the deployed there are military and civilian organizations available in or around the base to cater for the various needs they may have. Knowledge of these is available through the Family Support Centers and through Community Social Service manuals. This topic also encourages parents to develop a support group around them outside of the base to bring some friendship with others who are not faced by the same set of circumstances. This is always difficult when there is so much transitioning in this career.
